Alyssum and No Sun

There was an urge in me to see flowers in my garden. Winter has so many possibilities, and the nursery is full of wonderful and attractive colors. I have started trying my hand at taking care of plants only recently in this year around May. I couldn't resist buying petunia and pansy and alyssum saplings. (I actually got some more). I tried hanging baskets in a place where obliquely some sun comes. When I had shifted to my new home, my balcony was getting enough sun, and the brackets outside windows did get good sun. However, as season changed and winters are about to enter, the balcony gets no sun at all. The brackets do get a little bit. Then the Delhi air smog thickened so much that one can hardly see the sun. I keep trying to track which corner is going to get some sun. Hard luck! I keep wishing that some flowers would grow in less sun or just shade. Got some begonia and impatiens to deal with this. Hopefully they would survive! I read up online about full sun, partial sun, partial shade categories based on plant growths with sun availability. I keep wishing that some plants would maybe come on the edge of needing partial shade instead of full sun and some needing partial shade would grow in shade actually.
